Cellular plans that come laden with a one, two or even three year contract can provide all the bells and whistles as well as a low per minute charge. For individuals and families who are well acquainted with their phone usage and eat up a great deal of talk time, these standard cellular plans can be economical and smart. In addition to good rates, these more binding types of cellular plans also provide free cell phones in many instances. However, not every consumer has the same situation and can benefit from the same type of plan; prepaid plans are the wiser choice in a number of instances.
What are the primary characteristics of a prepaid cellular plan?
A prepaid cellular plan offers buyers the ability to avoid signing any contract or committing to a service over time. These plans also allow the buyer to avoid any deposits, credit checks, set monthly fees, or hidden charges. The buyer pays for a set number of minutes, and is unable to use more minutes until they are purchased.
Who could benefit most from a prepaid cellular plan?
New cellular customers are one group of people who could potentially benefit from a prepaid plan. With only a rough estimate as to how much they will be using their new cell phone, it is probably wise for these individuals to take a prepaid cellular plan for a short period of time, perhaps a few months, to get a more concrete idea of their usage and how well they like the services of a particular provider before making a long term commitment.
Another group who could benefit from a prepaid cellular plan would be users who only want a cell phone for emergency purposes or whose use of a cell phone varies widely from month to month. By using the prepaid option these users can eliminate the set monthly fee. For these individuals, there is little logic in paying for 300 minutes of talk time every month if they only use 50 or 60 minutes nine months out of the year.
Other people who can benefit from a prepaid cellular plan are those who have no credit history; or a poor credit history. Getting prepaid cellular is simple as there are no credit checks. In addition many who are on a tight budget also use prepaid plans as a way of controlling the cost; they can’t use more minutes than they have paid for and the act of acquiring more minutes usually serves as a great reminder of their budget. Tracking minutes can be difficult, particularly with family plans where multiple people are using the allotted minutes. A prepaid plan cuts them off if they exceed the limit; the minutes simply are not there which provides some serious budget control.
The final group of people who can wisely opt for a prepaid cellular plan are travelers. Many international travelers have successfully used these plans which allow them needed accessibility while they are gone and no long term commitment in a country where they will be staying for only a matter of days or weeks.
Are there other things to consider regarding prepaid cellular plans?
Consumers need to understand that any unused minutes in a prepaid cellular plan are lost if they are not used within a specified period of time; each provider has different rules regarding this. Reading the details about the specific prepaid plan is important so that buyers are careful to make accurate estimates as to their usage and purchase only what they need for a given period of time.
Buyers will also want to become acquainted with how usage can be tracked, the charge per minute, and other details related to the plan. Being armed with this information will not only help determine if a prepaid cellular plan can actually save them money but can help the user take control of assuring they get their money’s worth of talk time. But of course, this then brings up one of the best aspects of prepaid cellular: if the buyer misses a detail in how the plan functions and is not satisfied, they have the option of dropping the plan at any time making the pain of the mistake short lived.

Perhaps your phone or your car keys come in first as to an object you pick up most in your life, but second may be in fact, your computer mouse. Unplug your mouse or take out the batteries. Take a minute and try to activate anything on your computer with out the mouse. It’s pretty difficult isn’t it? The invention of the <a href=http://www.cirque.com/uploads/products/computer_mouse.html>Computer Mouse</a> has been pretty revolutionary and so many computer mouse designs have been created and marketed as the next go-to gadget.
Computer Mouse Designs- The Good and the Bad
Sure the computer mouse function has stayed the same- direct access into a computer, but designs from one enormous button to teeny computer mice to large joy-stick like models have changed drastically. Some popular computer mouse models:
• <a href=http://www.cirque.com/uploads/products/finger_mouse.html>Finger mouse</a>
• Joy Stick
• Rolling Ball- trackball mouse
• <a href=http://www.cirque.com/uploads/products/ergonomic_mouse.html>Ergonomic mouse</a>
• Touch pad
Will the computer mouse be around for another 40 years? Technology geeks think not. The computer mouse is ready for retirement and touch screens are taking over. If you use a laptop with a track pad or a touch pad for a computer mouse pad, you will already have been practicing for the touch screen revolution.
No-doubt you have used a touch screen already, maybe in fact, several times today- be it at the bank atm, grocery store checkout or perhaps you work in an industry that uses touch screen technology for a point of service to enter in information, like at a restaurant or auto shop. The iconic Apple iPhone, no doubt is the start of touch screen phenomenon, although touch screen technology has been around since the 60s. Now that more everyday objects are beginning to have touch screens, the cost of the technology is decreasing, allowing for more advances in touch screens. For example, the Microsoft touch screen coffee table “Surface”, allows people to grab and pull images, text and other functions has quickly become top buzz, if you have seen the most recent James Bond, then you will know what I am talking about.
Some people argue that the human hand is far too clumsy, and for some people, using touch technology is not working for them, they need more than a glass or plastic screen to push. So what’s next?
The Computer Mouse is “so last year,” and touch screens are becoming the norm. So what is next? Well, motion detection technology and even “thought provoked” motion sensors are the next big wave of possibilities for computer communication. As with all new technology, it will be costly at first and hard to find and then suddenly, everywhere. I wouldn’t recommend throwing away every computer mouse you own however- it’s like switching from rotary to wireless phones in the 90s- if the power ever went out, you had to find the plug in phone. Meaning- see what happens, you may not be able to afford the computer monitor that comes with the touch technology. You may have the old retired mouse for another 5- 10 years- which is archaic in technology terms.

The Samsung i8510 is a dual slider that was pretty much designed to resemble the Nokia N95. Although it is slightly heavier than the Nokia N95 it is a few millimetres thinner as well. With its touch sensitive navigation, the Samsung i8510 has a ton of features such as, GPS navigation, Wi-Fi, 8GB of built-in flash memory, FM radio a typical music player, plus a very nice 8mp camera. In terms of specification, you will not get better than this.
This Samsung i8510 has a wide 2.8 inch screen that shows all of what you want to see. It is a dual slider and that means that the keypad is underneath the initial top of the phone, alongside the music control keys that slide out of the opposite side. Although this phone is a bit heavy for some users, others will love its durability. You can hold plenty of video and even up to 2,000 songs and even more if you compress them. You can even ad a 16GB memory card that boosts your internal memory up to 24 GB which is more than enough to store tons of full length movies and even somewhere around 6,000 songs.
This phone is also well known now as being Europe’s first 8 megapixel camera phone and it uses Symbian technology to run everything. The camera has plenty of advanced settings and modes such as blink detection, zoom in up to 9x and a dual powered LED flash. There is a dedicated button that activates the camera, opens the shutter, and toggles between video, pictures, and your phones video/picture gallery. It can take very good video footage and you have the option to record with up to 120 frames per second.
The Samsung i8510 has a great web interface and it also has the ability to download with speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps, which is nothing short of amazing. Surfing the net was what this phone was made for. It has an HTML browser that allows you to switch between portrait and landscape modes in order to make your web page display as well as possible. The feature of touch-sensitive scrolling makes surfing the Internet just great. Of course this phone comes with Bluetooth technology and Wi-Fi compatibility. It also has this great feature of being about to use the TV-out connection to view photos and videos right on your very own TV. You can even stream content via a wireless connection to a PC or even a laptop by using the Wi-Fi compatibility feature.
You can do just about anything with this phone from downloading music to downloading iPhone applications and running them perfectly. You can listen to streaming music, watch streaming videos, and even upload your photos and videos to any website that you want. It has 3d surround sound with DNSe 2.0 technology that will allow for some great sound quality but if you choose you can plug in your headphones in the 3.5mm headphone jack. The Samsung i8510 is a unbelievably great phone that will essentially make you spend less time using your computer, as well as your DVD and mp3 players.

If you are one of the millions of people who decide to enjoy a Mexico vacation each year, you were in the vacation of a lifetime. Mexico is a vibrant, exciting country where you will be surrounded by new sites and sensations. Mexico is a land of contrasts, where the warmth of the sunny beaches offers a sharp counterpoint to its cool mountain valleys. But the most delightful aspect of vacationing in Mexico will be your encounters with the Mexican people who see life as a celebration.
From their love of spicy food and invigorating drinks to their enjoyment of exuberant music and dance and their bold approach to art and architecture, the Mexican people live in a world which makes other cultures seem dull by comparison. With your first Mexico vacation, you will be exposed to a way of life which will remain with you forever, and make it very hard to leave.
One of the ways you could bring a bit of Mexico home with you on your return is in photographs. Carefully select the camera you use to commemorate your Mexico vacation, because you will need one which can take great quality photos in a wide range of environments. You might automatically assume that your best choice of cameras will be a digital camera, because of its ease of use and the fact that using a digital camera relieves you of having to cart around several roles of film.
One of the disadvantages, however, of bringing a digital camera on a Mexico vacation, is that the cost of a good digital camera makes it an attractive target for thieves. So if you are traveling with one, you must be sure to leave it locked up or keep it in your possession at all times. You should also protect you whenever you are in environment where it might get wet.
A much cheaper yet still convenient alternative to digital cameras is a disposable camera. Anyone who knows how to use a 35mm camera can use a disposable camera. The major difference is that you must turn in the disposable camera in order to get your photos developed, and the camera will not be returned to you. Using a digital camera, however, will have the advantage of letting you transfer your Mexico vacation photographs onto a CD. Most photo centers offer this service, and they will also let you customize your pictures by cropping them, reducing the “red eye” effect, and making other changes.
You should take care to keep a disposable camera dry if you are visiting a beach or participating in a water activity. If you intend to do snorkeling or scuba diving, you might bring an underwater camera along on your Mexico vacation. Underwater cameras are also sold in disposable form, and you can even waterproof a traditional camera by purchasing a waterproof casing for it.
You all have any trouble finding a camera in Mexico if you forget to bring one. Mexico has many retailers who sell digital, 35mm, and disposable cameras. The only disadvantage you face in purchasing a camera in Mexico is that it may be overpriced if you buy it from a retailer in a popular resort area.
If you do not want to carry a camera on your Mexico vacation, but you have a cell phone, you may be able to use it to take pictures. Having a camera cell phone will enable you not only to store your vacation pictures, but to share them immediately with the friends and family back home, and to transfer them to your PC on your return. Why you cannot expect the sharpest quality in the pictures you take on your cell phone, they will still help you capture your Mexico vacation memories.
Using a video camera to record your Mexico vacation adventures is another great way to keep your memories alive. Look for a camcorder which will let you record your video footage to a DVD, because you may have trouble finding a VHS recorder on which to play them back.
Your Mexico vacation is sure to provide you with photo opportunities at every turn. Having a way of recording them in photographs will let you hang onto your memories for a lifetime!

From my experience, I have found that Nokia and Motorola phones are typically the best as it relates to reception. The Nokia phones typically make better use of the battery, though it varies from model to model. I would suggest looking at the specs for any phone you are considering and look at both talk time and standby time. A phone that has 12 hours of talk time is excellent, but more phones these days have less talk time because of the graphics and additional features. 7 hours of talk time, is actually pretty good these days.
Keep in mind that if you are going to use a Bluetooth headset that Bluetooth is a huge drain on the battery and you will see your battery life shorten significantly. If you are going to use Bluetooth, I would suggest one of the Motorola headsets that is only on when you open it versus one that stays on all the time. These are much more efficient.
To get the most out of a cell phone, it is always a good idea to purchase a phone from a cellular provider. The reason for this is that the cellular providers put devices through rugged testing and only choose devices that meet strict criteria, including reception, dropped calls, etc.
Many of the manufacturers make phones for both CDMA and GSM networks. There are devices that are great on the CDMA network, but not so good on the GSM netWith the major providers, you will need to have a device from that provider. You don’t have to buy a new device, but you wouldn’t be able to start up service unless you had a device from that provider. So, if you purchased an unlocked GSM device on-line and then went to T-Mobile, for example, and provided them with the IMEI number of that device, they would tell you that the device was not a T-Mobile device and that you would not be able to start up service without a T-Mobile device.
If, however, you started up service with T-Mobile and got a phone at little or no charge and then purchased an unlocked GSM device on-line, you could take the SIM card from your T-Mobile phone and put it into the new device and it would work.
A couple of things to keep in mind. The major carriers all test the devices they sell extensively and only sell devices that meet very specific criteria. If you were to use a device that was not supported by the carrier, you may have issues, such as dropped calls, etc.
When you purchase your device through the carriers, with your service, the device is under warranty (typically 12 months) with the provider. You are also guaranteed that the device has been tested on the specific network, etc.
So, since it appears that you already have cell service…if it is GSM service (i.e., T-Mobile or Cingular) and you purchased a GSM phone on line, all you would have to do is put your SIM card in the device.
If you have CDMA, Verizon or Sprint, you are going to have a much harder time because CDMA does not use SIM cards – your wireless number is associated with the ESN number of the device. I believe you would have a hard time getting them to put your non-carrier phone ESN into the system.
Most providers will allow you to upgrade your phone every 24 months and at that time, you can take advantage of the same types of discounts that new customers get on devices.
work.

It’s never been so easy to stay connected! With Sprint prepaid wireless phones, you can have the freedom you want and the great service you need — with no strings attached.
These days, nearly everyone has a cell phone. Wireless phones are simple to use, easy to carry and offer limitless freedom to talk, wherever you are. There are usually no sign-up fees, no long-term contracts that force you to commit to two or three year plans, no set monthly payments and no credit checks. These phones are so simple to set up and use it’s no wonder so many people have them.
Instead of costly long-term commitments, prepaid phone service allows you to be in control of how much you spend every month. There are plans that require you to make a minimum purchase, or put a time limit on the airtime you purchase, but these packages do vary. You can compare the limits offered with various providers, and the denominations of cards purchased. Even then, you’re still only buying the amount of minutes you’ll need. If you know that you’ll be using the phone less next month than you did this month, you can buy a card for a lower denomination with fewer minutes. If you find that you’re running short on airtime before the month ends, you can always purchase an additional card at any time.
Sprint prepaid wireless plans, and some other prepaid calling services, also allow you to avoid those nasty overages that can grossly inflate your bill. Rather than seeing your $40 monthly bill jump to an astronomical three-digits, the extra minutes you use will not be subject to ridiculously high rates. With a prepaid plan, you can simply buy extra minutes at the rate you normally pay. It’s a fair way of doing business that benefits cell phone users, rather than penalizing them.
Don’t worry that you’ll have to choose from a selection of poor quality equipment when choosing a Sprint prepaid wireless phone. The selection is almost identical to that of phones offered on typical monthly plans, including the latest in camera and videophones. One major physical difference is their “minutes display” feature that gives you a running tally of how many airtime minutes you have left on your prepaid account.
In the world of cellular phones, Sprint prepaid wireless plans offer flexibility, quality and affordability, making them very attractive and popular choices.
