Nokia’s N-Series range of high specification mobile phones has gined increased exposure recently all due to the release of the manufacturers most sophisticated handset to date, the Nokia N96 has experienced one of the fastest network rollouts ever seen in the mobile phones market.

Currently, this new model has been picked up by all of hte major network operators in the UK, all within seven days of each other, this is testament to the consumer demand for the new Nokia N96.

A new colour variant of this high-tech handset has now been added to the N-Series range to compliment the original black edition, the new Nokia N96 Quartz takes its name from the colour of the exterior casing. The features, design and technology of the device remain exactly the same as in the black version, however the Quartz Nokia N96 swaps the black casing for a new silvery finish.

Although a small alteration, the enormous popularity of this handset means that both models will be in high demand, for those consumers wanting to stand out in a crowd there is the Quartz edition, whereas consumers wanting a state of the art mobile phone that looks the part can opt for the black version.

Featuring the same unique dual slide design of the previous N95 and N95 8GB Black models, the Nokia N96 is presented in a sleek black casing and boasts an impressive 2.8″, 16 million colour screen. Slide the base one way to reveal the media playback controls, whilst sliding it the other way allows the user to access the numeric keypad. It measures up in much the same way as the previous models in the N-Series, with dimensions of 103 x 55 x 18mm and weighing in at a respectable 128g.

Everything that was good about the Nokia N95 is continued or bettered in the N96. It still features the crystal clear Carl Zeiss Optics 5 megapixel camera with video functionality, onboard GPS and rapid Internet connection. One of the more obvious additions comes in the form of the phones memory, doubling the previous 8GB of the N95 with a brand new 16GB worth of storage space. The voluminous capacity of the Nokia N96 allows users to store and transport a vast array of media and other documents on the move.

The Nokia N96 runs on the Symbian 9.3 Operating System being powered by a substantial 128MB of RAM, the quality of graphics and the clarity is second to none. The multitude of media applications, from live television to watching blockbusting movies, benefits hugely from the quality of the screen and the power behind it. With an inbuilt accelerometer, it’s also easy to rotate the screen to enjoy the wider aspect image for viewing films, movies or using the music player.

Initially, the Nokia N96 Quartz has been released on the O2 network in the UK, this means that consumers can connect the handset to a range of O2 tariffs depending on their usage requirements.

O2 Direct, the network behind the name will not be stocking this new phone, instead consumers wanting the N96 on an O2 tariff will need to purchase their handset from an independent retailer or dealership. O2 themselves are concentrating on hte Apple iPhone and simply cannot subsidise the price of the new N-Series phone.

The Samsung i8510 is a dual slider that was pretty much designed to resemble the Nokia N95. Although it is slightly heavier than the Nokia N95 it is a few millimetres thinner as well. With its touch sensitive navigation, the Samsung i8510 has a ton of features such as, GPS navigation, Wi-Fi, 8GB of built-in flash memory, FM radio a typical music player, plus a very nice 8mp camera. In terms of specification, you will not get better than this.

This Samsung i8510 has a wide 2.8 inch screen that shows all of what you want to see. It is a dual slider and that means that the keypad is underneath the initial top of the phone, alongside the music control keys that slide out of the opposite side. Although this phone is a bit heavy for some users, others will love its durability. You can hold plenty of video and even up to 2,000 songs and even more if you compress them. You can even ad a 16GB memory card that boosts your internal memory up to 24 GB which is more than enough to store tons of full length movies and even somewhere around 6,000 songs.

This phone is also well known now as being Europe’s first 8 megapixel camera phone and it uses Symbian technology to run everything. The camera has plenty of advanced settings and modes such as blink detection, zoom in up to 9x and a dual powered LED flash. There is a dedicated button that activates the camera, opens the shutter, and toggles between video, pictures, and your phones video/picture gallery. It can take very good video footage and you have the option to record with up to 120 frames per second.

The Samsung i8510 has a great web interface and it also has the ability to download with speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps, which is nothing short of amazing. Surfing the net was what this phone was made for. It has an HTML browser that allows you to switch between portrait and landscape modes in order to make your web page display as well as possible. The feature of touch-sensitive scrolling makes surfing the Internet just great. Of course this phone comes with Bluetooth technology and Wi-Fi compatibility. It also has this great feature of being about to use the TV-out connection to view photos and videos right on your very own TV. You can even stream content via a wireless connection to a PC or even a laptop by using the Wi-Fi compatibility feature.

You can do just about anything with this phone from downloading music to downloading iPhone applications and running them perfectly. You can listen to streaming music, watch streaming videos, and even upload your photos and videos to any website that you want. It has 3d surround sound with DNSe 2.0 technology that will allow for some great sound quality but if you choose you can plug in your headphones in the 3.5mm headphone jack. The Samsung i8510 is a unbelievably great phone that will essentially make you spend less time using your computer, as well as your DVD and mp3 players.

Knowing the value of an internet domain name is crucial in today’s business industry. Altough there is no exact formula to appraise a domain, there are a group of things to consider before putting a value to a domain. A majority of people will base their immediate appraisal on TLD extension, word length and keyword popularity but won’t really consider backlinks, brandability or emerging trends part of the equation. There are a few factors that a person must be aware of before they can feel they have thoroughly assessed the domain and attach a valid appraisal amount. The first thing a person can do to is recognize that there are many subtle components that need to be assembled and viewed as a whole to get a comprehensive perspective on the domain. It seems every domainer has their own method used to appraise a domain so I’ve listed a few factors that I feel are necessary in being considered before a domain can be appraised.

____________________

TLD Extension

TLD or Top-Level Domain is the ending extension attached to a domain such as .com, .net or .org. The .com extension is considered the most sought after even though there are other TLD’s that are gaining huge popularity and acceptance. CC’s or Country Codes are also seeing their fair share of registrations.

Name Length

Now that all the 2, 3 and 4 letter .com’s have been registered, the letter count on a domain is fast becoming a huge factor in a domain’s worth. The desire for a short domain is at an all time high and values are steadily climbing due to the limited supply of shorter length domains. Seems shorter names are easier to remember and with that a value increase.

Characters, Numbers and Hyphens

Hyphens integrated between letters are often viewed as separators between keywords. Although there is much dispute whether or not the hyphens negatively impact a domain’s search engine optimization, there is considerable preference that a domain not include anything extra in it’s name. Number digits are beginning to see their popularity rise and can be included with relevant keywords or letters to make a great domain.

Keyword Popularity

Marketable search terms and keyword popularity are extremely relevant in appraising a domain name. The frequency of a given search term helps to indicate the brandability or popularity of the keyword. Generic word domains, such as flowers.com or poker.com are the strongest in their keyword popularity genre.

Traffic and Revenue

Traffic or visitors to a particular domain is one of the most important factors to consider when appraising a domain. More traffic usually means more revenue due to pay-per-click income and possible advertising opportunities, therefore increasing the value of the domain.

Brandability and Trends

Any domain that is easily memorable, short and non-descript is considered brandable and therefore increases it’s value. It would be easier for a person to remember TVrepair.com instead of the longer fix-my-broken-television.com . Not only is the first choice shorter and has better word flow but also there is less of a chance of someone incorrectly typing in the URL. Also keep tuned in to current trends that may seem to increase an otherwise meaningless domain into a treasure. An example is when Apple Computers began to incorporate the letter i into their products descriptions, such as iPhone, iPod and iLife.

Automated Domain Appraisals

This is a tricky one. Although I feel automated domain appraisal systems such as Estibot are helpful in assisting to appraise a domain, I don’t feel they should be the “end all” decision used to obtain a domain’s value. If used more as a reference tool, they can be one of the greatest resources that help determine an appraisal value. Any script/applications can have some bugs, especially ones with complex algorithms as Estibot. Make automated domain appraisals one of the tools to find an appraisal, not the only tool.

Future Potential Interest and Overall Appeal

As time goes by, new words, trends and fads explode onto the scene, and with each new word or trend created, a domain is born. Stay up with current events and become a regular visitor to news aggregate sites, such as Digg and domain industry specific DNHour to stay on the cusp of emerging potential interests.

Backlinks

I like to keep my eye on the number and quality of backlinks to evaluate an domain appraisal. While tons of irrelevant backlinks might negatively effect a domain’s search engine optimization, it can still be a positive thing for a domain names’ value. With more and more domains being “parked”, the links tend to lean towards relevant backlinks and therefore less likely to be bogged down in the SEO nightmare of page rank. And, it’s hard to argue that backlinks don’t increase traffic.

Relevance, Region Specific and other Fuzzy Logic

As said earlier, there is no exact formula to appraise a domain name, and therefore the not-so-exact elements must come into play. An example would be that veteran domainers tend to skew their entire method of appraising when it comes to country specific or region specific domain names. Different factors are incorporated to determine non-English domain word values and domainers across the globe are becoming better in detecting future potential interests in foreign markets. Another example is the continuously growing popularity of “long-string domaining”, or stringing multiple words or keywords to achieve a brandable and memorable domain name. TacoBell has ThinkOutsideTheBun.com and Amazon has the domain BuyABook.com. By definition, these would not be very valuable but that’s when the fuzzy logic creeps in. A domain’s value can be perceived in multiple ways.

____________________

So keep in mind that even though there isn’t one exact correct formula being used by the domain industry to appraise domains, a reasonable appraisal can be determined by anyone if they keep all the factors in mind and how they each interact with each other.

I’d suggest you monitor the pulse of current domain sales by frequently visiting

DNJournal’s Domain Sales Chart. This will show you weekly and even yearly to-date domain sales for the industry. And don’t forget to visit the front page of Sedo to view ongoing live auctions. Each of these great resources will help you in creating your own customized method of domain appraising by seeing what domains are selling and for what amount.

The 3G iphone has created quite a stir in the market with its small packaging but powerful functions. It has become a must have for people who are always on the move. From phone numbers to playing games and from chatting over IM’s to listening to itunes, there is a whole lot of things that you can do on your iphone 3G. At the same time, there is a rising issue of the sim card getting locked accidently. In fact, Apple sells the iphone with a simcard lock so that you are not able to access other networks. When the iphone was launched this was seen as a recurring and long-term problem. But now with the emergence of companies selling unlock 3G iphone solutions, this issue can be easily taken care of.

The iphone 3G packs quite a punch and comes with its own OS. The iPhone 3G operating system includes a software component known as the “Core Animation”, which comes from the Mac OS X v10.5. This is combined with the PowerVR MBX 3D hardware in the 3G iPhone so that you are able to see smooth animations. When the simcard gets locked, you will not be able to view the animations anymore and at that point you will have to use unlock iphone 3G solutions to access the sim card and use the iPhone in general. One of the good things about unlock 3G iphone solutions is that they are compatible with different operating systems like MAC, Windows Vista and XP.

The operating system used in the 3G iPhone is by default MAC OS X, which will take at least half the total space on your iPhone. So if your iPhone has 16GB of space then the OS will take at least 8GB of space. This is one of the reasons why if your iPhone has a physical impact, the OS might get corrupt and when that happens there is a possibility of the sim card getting locked. If something like this happens then don’t panic. Instead Google for unlock 3G iphone solutions. There are hundreds of solutions available over the internet although all of them are not reliable or good. You will have to do your research and find out websites that sell reliable unlock iphone 3G solutions. A good unlocking solution will ensure that your iPhone sim card is not tampered with.

There are other reasons due to which your iPhone sim card can get locked. The iPhone 3G is capable of supporting different types of bundled software and third party applications provided by Apple. Now if you download an application from the internet and try to run it on your iPhone there is a possibility that it will not run. If the application has embedded spyware or virus then it can tamper your sim card in which case it will get locked. So you will have to then download unlock 3G iphone solutions to access the sim card and make the phone work.

The short battery life may be solved by the following ways; resetting the network settings. This can be a great solution to this problem. You just need to tap settings, general, and reset then lastly tap reset network settings which will automatically restart the iphone, deleting all stored passwords, DNS settings and other unwanted settings.

Another way is by resetting the iphone itself. This is because just resetting the 3G iphone is able to resolve the signal strength problems and this can be done by holding the home and the sleep keys continuously till you see the logo that will indicate that your iphone has been restarted successfully. You can also turn off the iphone 3G because its exchange functionality and some other accounts can destroy the battery’s life. This option can be turned off for the comparison of the new and old battery. It is also advisable that you use force quit applications. This can be done when the applications are lost unexpectedly and the poor battery is noticed late.

The force quite applications require that you relaunch the present application then force-quit it. This can be achieved through pressing down the home keys continuously for some time which can do away with the problems that may be lowering the battery’s power. For you to get the best out off the new iphone 3G battery, all you need to do is to switch it of, reduce the use of location services that are available, collect the new data regularly, switch off the push mail, auto check some few e mail accounts, try to reduce the third party usage, switch off the Wi-Fi, also switch off the Bluetooth device and turn off the EQ among others. All in all, the iPhone 3g battery can give you excellent service once you know how to handle it.
